Beautiful Antique Oak Barn Owl Carvings


A pair of highly unusual antique circa 1900-20 hand carved oak barn owls in woodland settings. Unknown artist / carver. Possibly rural Lincolnshire in origin. Although clearly by the same person there appears to be good time lapse between each carving which is evident to see. We are dating the one on the left to be early 1900s & one on the right to be circa 1920 therefore World War I in between each. They stand at approximately 16.5 inches in height & the pair weigh around 4 pounds. There is clear to see damage, losses, repairs etc. Both appear to have been hooked on a wall at some stage for display. They stand well and firmly & display beautifully. They are incredibly tactile & fascinating to look at. Priced for the pair. UK delivery £15.
