Item Description
A pretty pair of Victorian lustreware vases. Worn over the years, but still with an intriguing colour and shine. The light bounces off them and they never look quite the same everytime. I like the plainness of these vases and the full bodied shape. Of lovely simple campana form, with decorative handles and in very good original condition. No cracks or nicks they make for extra special display vases. Put a smaller container inside to take a little water for natural flowers, or decorate with dried flowers or lights on festive occasions to see them sparkling against the aged silver. Lustreware is a type of pottery or porcelain with a shimmering metallic glaze that was very popular in the 19th century, though it actually goes back to Medieval times. HOW TO PAY: Bank transfer, credit card via an invoice sent to you. Delivery is not included in the stated price. Please enquire for a quote. Collection is also possible from West Sussex.
