Item Details

This gorgeous buddha would have been hand-carved by a Laos tribe in the late 19th century. It is made out of tropical hardwood as appose to bronze as they people who hand crafted these probably could not afford bronze. Nevertheless, the quality of this buddha can be seen through the effort and detailing that is showcased.

This buddha has traces of polychromed paint which can be seen all over the buddha. Its intricate carvings emphasise the craftsmanship of this piece.

The dimensions are as follows: H - 23.5cm, D - 4.5cm, W - 6cm.
