Item Details

This stunning Indian  shelving unit would have originated in Rajasthan in the 1930s. It is made from teak and has been hand-painted with a lovely light blue colour. The chipped paint reveals the age and use of this shelving unit, emphasising the authenticity of this piece. At nearly a century old, the mark of the maker can still be seen on the second shelf in a vibrant yellow colour, reflecting the quality and sturdiness. 

This Indian shelving unit would have been used to store homeware and valuable items. Nowadays it can be used for the same thing but it will simultaneously add an oriental feel to your home.
