Item Details

A beautifully carved, 19th century, beechwood breadboard. This is very deeply carved with oak leaves, acorns, barley, flowers and a lily. The carving is all very well detailed and boards of this quality are getting harder and harder to find. It dates from c.1860. There is a small chip on the rim and knife marks to both the face and the reverse, from use. The wood has quite a dark patina.
Dimensions: Diameter 29cm. Depth 1.8cm.
