Item Description
A fabulous quality, tall, 19th century, copper mould. This is marked with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams above a pattern number “207". To the opposite side is a workman’s mark in the shape of a cross. The mould is very well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, and it dates from c.1870. The design is very elaborate consisting of a wrythen, reeded top above ten fluted columns which are divided by stylised, stiff leaves. It is in excellent condition but the tinning, to the interior, is worn.
