This mould is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, and it dates from c.1870. It is marked “A24” over “1 1/2PT”, one and a half pints being the capacity. It is a good shape, being in the form of a typical sand castle, and the design is crisply moulded. It is in excellent condition. The tinning to the interior is slightly worn but the mould could still be used.
