A nineteenth century, Minton earthenware jelly mould in the shape of a tall cone made up of ever decreasing circles. This is a fabulous design and, when turned out, the jelly has a superb wobble. This example is marked “MINTON” above “No 34” over “7” and it dates from c.1860. No. 34 is the pattern number and the number 7 relates to the height in inches. There is one chip on the rim but otherwise it is in very good condition.
