Item Details

A dust pressed, Minton tile from a series, transfer printed in blue, with a scene from one of Aesop’s fables. The back of the tile is moulded with “MINTON, HOLLINS & Co, PATENT TILE WORKS STOKE ON TRENT. No2” and it dates from c.1880. It is printed with a fox that is chasing a chicken that has taken refuge in a tree. It is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: 15cm. square by 0.9cm. thick.
