Item Details

A dust pressed, Minton tile from a series, transfer printed in blue, with a scene from one of Aesop’s fables. The back of the tile is moulded with “MINTON, HOLLINS & Co, PATENT TILE WORKS STOKE ON TRENT No2.” and it dates from c.1880. It is also printed with a registered design Kite Mark. It is printed with the fable of the tortoise and the hare and it is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: 15.1cm. square by 0.9cm. thick.
