Item Details

A pair of Wedgwood, dark blue jasper dip candlesticks. These are marked “WEDGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND” and they date from c.1920. They are also both impressed with a number “5”, which relates to their height in inches, and there are a couple of impressed letters. Both are decorated, in white relief, with classical subjects. One show The Three Graces and the Anointing of Achilles and the other shows Venus with Cupid, and a Warrior. The reliefs are all very good quality and the jasper dip is a rich shade of blue. Both candlesticks are in excellent condition.
