Item Details

A pair of late 18th century, pearlware plates with a blue feather edge border. Each plate is marked “BOARDMAN”. This is a very rare mark on earthenware produced at a Liverpool pottery, possibly relating to Bensley and Boardman. They are well [potted and they date from c.1790. The moulded borders are highlighted in a deep, cobalt blue and both plates are in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Length 25.8cm. Width 20cm. Depth 2.6cm.
