Item Details

A small, 19th century, French copper stockpot. This is a very good quality example. It is well made, from a very heavy gauge of copper, and it has castellated seams around the base and up the side. It has the typical, attractive French form of brass handle to both sides of the pan, and also to the lid, and these are attached by copper rivets. The side of the pot is stamped with a number “20” which relates to the size of the pot in centimetres. It dates from c.1880 and is in excellent condition. The interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used .
Dimensions: Diameter of pot 20.4cm. Width across the handles 30cm. Depth of pot 20cm. Overall height including the handle 22cm.
