Item Description
A small, Wedgwood, green jasper dip milk or cream jug. This is marked “WEDGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND” and it dates from c.1920. It is also marked with the number ’42’ and the letters ‘H’ and ‘X’. It is decorated, in white relief, with a continuous band of classical figures, trees and foliage and the shape was named, in Wedgwood’s catalogues, as the Etruscan Shape. This is an unusually small example and it is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Height 5.5cm. Width 9.5cm. Diameter 7.7cm.
