Item Details

A very small, early 19th century, Wedgwood stoneware pestle and mortar. Both the pestle and mortar and marked “WEDGWOOD” and they are also impressed with a number ‘2’. They date from c.1820. This would probably have been used in an apothecary and it is quite uncommon to find early examples in such a small size. Both parts are in excellent condition.


Dimensions: Mortar: Diameter 7.4cm. Height 5cm. Pestle: Length 12cm. Diameter 2cm.
