Item Description

A late 19th Century or early 20th Century pond yacht.

Absolutely splendid boat in nice condition with mast, boom and bowsprit (the bowsprit is made from part of the boom), lead keel and newly made stands made from old wood, the original rigging was long gone and has been replaced.

Attributed to Clyde Model Dockyard the company was a toy and model shop in Glasgow established in 1789 manufacturing boats, sailing yachts then later steam boats and locomotive's.

In the 20th century it became one of the most well known retailers but unfortunately closed in the 1970's.

With lovely original paint this is, as you can see by the pictures, a gorgeous decorative piece.

Boat on its own 16cm high, 52cm long, width across deck 15cm

From base of stand to tip of mast 112cm

Width from tip of bowsprit to the boom 95cm.
