Handsome French leather daybed, with rolled arms that can be lowered either 45 degrees or fully flat. Lovely colour and condition to the leather, with no tears or repairs, and newly polished. The cigar-shaped arms have some lovely pleating to their ends. There is a buttoned mattress and two side cushions, in a vintage brown velvet, all in beautiful condition and with a ‘crush’ to the velvet that modern fabrics fail to offer. A versatile piece that would work well in both period or contemporary settings. The seat height is approximately 42cm, and the width with both arms fully lowered is approximately 225cm. The arms can be removed completely for ease of delivery if necessary.
