French, 19thC pastel portrait depicting an attractive lady with a wry smile. Her dark chignoned hair compliments her black satin dress, its white collar and silvery cross-over bow gives this portrait some air.
At her neck is a small gold brooch and from her ear dangles gold drop earrings. Her beautiful hands are crossed submissively in her lap.
