Item Details

A beautiful C19th French Louis Philippe mirror with original, slightly foxed plate. The frame has the original gilt with delicate carved decoration and beading. This mirror was found slathered in old brown paint and was dry-scraped back to reveal the stunning water-gilt underneath; around the sides and beading you can see the brown and this adds a depth and a slightly more rustic charm.
