Victorian 19th Century Period Chest of Drawers Original Paint C1870

Just loving the original finish on this single family owned chest of 5 drawers C.1870 with its rich buttermilk coloured paint, maroon painted patterns and coach lines and that grained effect peppered with little dabs of maroon - just super.

A wonderful Leicestershire find and fortunately enjoying a one family life passed down from generations. It's a handsome and attractive looking chest with a useful combination of 2 half drawers and 3 long graduated drawers underneath - all clean and neat inside. The chest stands on its original painted turned feet and as mentioned, sits well.

Workshop report - The chest has been carefully cleaned, drawer runners waxed, drawer interiors vacuumed and we have ensured the piece is ready to place. We have sensible marks to the top and scuffs to the sides and feet - but nothing fresh or particularly off putting. Smells fine and the back is good.

For any large items that require two people to lift the item, we ask that you are available at the time of delivery to be able to give our shipper a lift off the van and into your house with the item. If you are not able to lift items yourself, we ask that you have someone on hand at the time of delivery to assist our shipper with moving the item. We are happy to quote for a two person delivery if required.
