Attractive Oak Art Deco Glazed Bookcase Bureau with Drawers C1930


A rather good looking English 1930s oak glazed bookcase bureau benefiting from being of a slimmer scale than most. Certainly an eye catching piece.


This one ticks all the boxes…we have an attractive framed top glazed cabinet with 3 adjustable oak shelves, a drop down work area with little letter compartments and a stamp drawer and 3 good sized drawers below this all sitting on that very handsome base.


Condition is good - there are no breaks or cracks to the glass, no splits in the sides etc, we have 2 working locks and keys for the lower and upper sections. The drawers are running well and the original chrome handles are in place, one does have a little piece missing to the mock stone - historic rather than new. The doors are shutting straight. The original leather insert is age worn at the edges. The cabinet has enjoyed a session in our workshop to re-polish the oak and bring out the grain and enhance the tone and “Egyptian accents”. The cabinet breaks into two for easier placement and will take a few minutes to put together.


A very handsome piece of English 1930s furniture with plenty of Art Deco style.

For any large items that require two people to lift the item, we ask that you are available at the time of delivery to be able to give our shipper a lift off the van and into your house with the item. If you are not able to lift items yourself, we ask that you have someone on hand at the time of delivery to assist our shipper with moving the item. We are happy to quote for a two person delivery if required.
