Lovely Victorian Scottish Pitch Pine Pedestal Desk C1880


A really lovely pitch pine Victorian twin pedestal desk from a Shropshire country residence with that perfect lived-in look, great colour and with a panelled back so able to sit in a room not just against a wall…


Some pieces have that gentle easy on the eye look and this desk in pitch pine is so attractive with its pleasing grain, original scalloped cup brass handles, drawer combi and scale. We have sensible historic wear in the right places and old ink stained interiors to the drawers, also a missing lock to the center drawer, but nothing nasty or off putting. The drawers are running well and overall it's ready to place. Worth remembering Scottish pitch pine is very heavy, a deeper tone, with a more interesting grain and hard unlike ordinary pine.

When purchasing from us we include delivery in the purchase price which is based on a one person delivery for England and Wales. Please call or email for quotes to Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isles and for World-wide shipping.


For any large items that require two people to lift the item, we ask that you are available at the time of delivery to be able to give our shipper a lift off the van and into your house with the item. If you are not able to lift items yourself, we ask that you have someone on hand at the time of delivery to assist our shipper with moving the item. We are happy to quote for a two person delivery if required.
