Great Vintage 1930s Oak Chest of 8 Drawers


A good looking commercial piece likely used in an office for the storage of paperwork etc we have a tall oak chest of 8 drawers in classic 1930s British style with its 8 drawers opening by way of these well shaped long oak handles, panelled sides and an angled uniform shape to the frame.


It survives in good order and has enjoyed a sensible hand repolish in our workshop to highlight the oak and veneer and finished with a light beeswax for protection and sheen. All 8 drawers are running well and the runners have been waxed, there are a few old ink marks in one drawer echoing its past but otherwise neat and clean - ready for use. Expect a chest with day to day marks but nothing nasty. It sits firm with no wobbles or repairs.


A rather good piece of 1930s British office furniture in oak.

When purchasing from us we include delivery in the purchase price which is based on a one person delivery for England and Wales. Please call or email for quotes to Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isles and for World-wide shipping.


For any large items that require two people to lift the item, we ask that you are available at the time of delivery to be able to give our shipper a lift off the van and into your house with the item. If you are not able to lift items yourself, we ask that you have someone on hand at the time of delivery to assist our shipper with moving the item. We are happy to quote for a two person delivery if required.
