Possibly Spanish or French, with original working lock and key, having a black ground set with a moulded top, painted with red accented edges above a moulded front, with a central octagonal panel inscribed "Galajda Maria Rohu 1892". The chest is raised on bun feet, the sides painted with red flowers on green vines together with original carrying handles.
