Item Details

A fine frameless English antique sorcerers mirror with 23 reverse ground optics around its edge. This can either be wall hung or used as a display base due to its 3 bun feet to the rear. Distressing to the mercury plate around the edges add to the beauty of this mirror. These mirrors were an early 16th century design, used to throw light around via the convex optics, thereby giving them 'magical powers' - hence the name alluding to a magician or alchemist. Circa 1890
