Item Details

We believe this sign came from The Somerdale factory in Keynsham, England which produced some of the country's most popular candies for over 80 years from the 1920s including Crunchie, Picnic, Curly Wurly, and Turkish Delight.

Kraft Foods took over in 2010 and closed the Somerdale factory in 2011. The machinery was shipped to Poland and the former factory has since been converted into 151 assisted living apartments and a 90-bed nursing care home called The Chocolate Quarter Retirement Village which is where we are to believe this sign came from as it is too large to come from a retailer but have not been able to confirm this. This is a genuine original enamel sign and definitely not a reproduction with genuine age related wear and tear.
