Item Description
After the liberation of Paris at the end of WW2, French citizens were given these large flags to celebrate with the allies and the returning war heroes.
The flags were made from sewn panels of linen in the traditional colours of blue, white and red such as this one with the flag being attached with metal tacks to this long blue wooden poles with a gold-tone metal finial.
This is a great interior decorators piece in good vintage condition for its age and could be wall hung or even used as a prop in a cafe or shop. Circa 1940s
