Love this fine antique Victorian small carved wood & bronze bulldog inkwell.

Very unusual & rare, made from bronze with carved wood.

A feature that stands out are the cute glass eyes.

He is in an upright sitting position.

A nice small size being 15 cm high and 8.5 cm wide.

Exceptionally well cast the detail is, you can see the wrinkles on his cheeks and around his nose, muscular detail to his front legs.

the head lifts up to reveal bronze lined interior for the ink to sit in.

Circa late 19th century Victorian era.

Indistinct makers mark underneath.

It weights around 1kg appoximate.
