Pair of fine quality Italian bedroom chairs
A superb pair of fine quality walnut Italian bedroom chairs with 18th Century tapestry on the inside backs and green linen seats.
There are two different tapestries, one shows a well dressed gentleman with his mandolin in the countryside and the other a young damsel playing a tambourine also in the countryside.
The tapestries are incomplete in some areas and there are some very small areas of damage as shown in the photographs. The colours are still vibrant and eye catching.
The quality shines throughout with a beautifully detailed horseshoe shaped stretcher deeply carved and a profusely carved basket brimming with flowers superbly executed in the centre rail.
A sturdy pair of comfortable, attractive chairs.
