Item Details

An unusual and rare 18th century Reclining wingback armchair. The mechanism operates by pushing in iron buttons either side that free up mechanism to move back and forth on the hinged back. It locks in place on variable notches at the desired pitch. Raised on square mahogany supports joined by stretchers and recently re-railed.

Structurally sound and for upholstery.
