A pair of mid century Fornasetti Style Pendant Light Shades. Super stylish and beautiful from the 1950-60’s. Made from lustre perspex each shade is decorated with 3 images of Medusa.


A figure from Greek Mythology, Medusa is related to the goddess Metis. A powerful representation of female intelligence, vital sensuality and strength that was threatening to males. Medusa was beheaded by the Greek hero Perseus. Medusa's severed head is symbolically featured as the base of several columns in the cistern built by Byzantine Emperor Justinian I
