Marcus Arthur Boss (1891-1975) was an artist and a member of the Royal Academy of Arts. He was born in London and studied at the Birkbeck School of Art and at The Heatherley School of Fine Art (1908-11). He later attended the Royal Academy Schools from 1911 to 1916. Boss was a painter and watercolourist who exhibited extensively, including at the Royal Academy, Royal Institute of Oil Painters, Royal Society of British Artists, International Portrait Society and in provincial galleries. He was a member of the Chelsea Arts Club and the London Sketch Club. He lived in London and his works include portraits, landscapes, and still life paintings and his work was classified within the Impressionism Style.
