Lovely pearlware Staffordshire Doe, probably made by Enoch Wood c1820 Lovely bocage tree, typically Enoch Wood, with flowers and leaves on an oval hollow base

Enoch Wood, based in Burslem, Staffordshire was originally trained as a modeller and later joined his father, Aaron Wood in the family business.

They were from the major pottery modelling family of Staffordshire, which also included his uncle Ralph Wood

 

Condition: Excellent, some bocage missing on top of tree, image 8, possibly hairline round left ear, image 4.

 

Dimensions: Height 16cm, Width 13.5cm, Depth 9cm
