Antique 'Horse Driving Collar' adorned with decorative brasses, from part of a horse harness

These collars were used for working horses, particularly those involved in pulling heavy loads

Made of heavy leather with brass embellishments

Two brasses marked GFM & LB&B, (possibly 'London Brighton & South Coast) denoting the owner of the company

Plus 'A SWAN' & 'A HORSE DRAWN CART'

Possibly made by Crowders Sadler of Derby in the Late C19th

Associated with Penarth dock and it's shipbuilding industry based in S. Wales

Dimensions: Height 46cm, Max width 18cm
