Item Description
A fabulous Art Deco wall charger, made in Burslem, Staffordshire by Burgess & Leigh under their Burleigh Ware tradename in the 1930s. It features an attractive relief-moulded design of a roe deer and fawn surrounded by stylised foliage, with a border of stylised flowers. The pale green and brown colouring is typical of the Art Deco period. The back bears an illegible backstamp, but this is a recognised Burleigh Ware design. This is a heavy pottery piece. There are holes in the foot-rim for ease of hanging on your wall.
The charger is in great condition.
