Item Details

A wonderful cast iron still bank made by Chamberlain & Hill of Walsall in approximately 1910. It is in the form of Blackpool Tower, still a relatively new structure at the time, having been opened in 1894. The bank is quite elaborate with intricate moulding and piercing. It still retains some of its original gold paintwork, although this has largely worn off. The partial model number 499017 can be seen on the inner edge of the base. There is a screw in the back of the bank to open it when full.

A marvellous example of a still bank.
