Item Details

A beautiful Edwardian riding crop with wooden shaft and leather thong. What makes this crop special is the little white metal dog topping it. He is unmarked, so may be continental silver, or silver plated. The dog is sitting on top of a pommel decorated with chased swags, flowers and leaves. The dog is beautifully modelled; he has an appealing face and lots of engraved detail to his features, fur and paws. The shaft of the crop has a lovely aged patina. The leather thong and the whipping above it are in good condition, in fact it looks as though it has hardly been used. A beautiful example of a stylish riding crop.
