A tall and very elegant Art Deco jug, made by R Sudlow & Sons of Burslem, Staffordshire in their 'Royal' range. It has a tasteful semi-matte, slightly mottled green glaze with fine surface crazing, a feature of this type of glaze. It dates to the 1930s when this colour was very in vogue. The base is marked 'Royal Made in England'. This jug would look beautiful holding a few carefully selected blooms.
It is in great condition with just one small firing fault to the glaze.
