Item Details

A superb 1970s black leather chaise deigned by Ingmar & Knut Relling for Westnofa. Black Leather with reversible loose cushion that can be flipped to reveal the soft red velour material. A very comfortable chair which can be set to two positions, the normal position provides a gentle reclined seating position which is ideal for relaxing and reading, the chair is perfectly balanced and it is only necessary to lean backwards for the chair to move itself to the other lounge position which provides a serene posture with good body support and high leg position. The chair has good width and has ample room for people of wider build. The design and materials on this piece combines perfectly to give a sturdy yet soft comfortable seating, designed by one of great designers of the mid-century furniture era. The frame is made from beech which is stained black, a tough netting material provides a strong spring base which supports the longer cushion. It has a small headrest that can be used as head support or flipped back to hang over the frame. The base has soft feet and leather pads so the piece can be used on soft or hard floors. In excellent condition, some age related scuffs to the frame and leather but overall a well presented piece. Seat Height = 36cm – 43cm (14″ – 17″)
