An antique late Georgian fireplace insert / register grate with a scrolling floral skirt beneath the barred grate, the opening bordered by alternating anthemion and lambs tongue moulding and with floral spandrels. English c1830. This has been burnished and waxed for protection. Dimensions in inches/cms; 36.5"/93cms wide. 38.25"/97.5cms tall. 15"/38cms deep. Internal dimensions of the grate are 15.5"/39.5cms max width by 7.25"/18.5cms height by 7"/18cms deep.
