Item Description
A lovely quality Victorian gilt metal mounted oil lamp base converted for electricity, circa 1870, with gilt metal top section over a paper covered column terminating in a gilt metal spreading base of hexagonal form with foliate decoration.
In excellent condition, the gilded metal is undamaged and lovely and bright, the column has been more recently covered in marbled paper and re-wired with gilt cloth covered cable and inline switch.
