Item Description
A matched set of eleven West Country ash and elm kitchen chairs, mid 19th century, comprising a set of eight chairs along with a matching armchair, the backs with three gothic arches seperated by turned spindles, over shaped solid seats and raised on H-shaped stretchers, together with another near matching pair of chairs with arch and spindle backs.
Recently acquired from a Wiltshire farmhouse, however the family (and the chairs) originated from Devon.
The eight matching chiars 81.5cm high, the seats 37cm wide at the front, 36cm deep and 43cm high
The armchair 88cm hig, 47cm wide at the front, 41cm hdeep and 44cm high
The pair of chairs 82cm high, the seats 38cm wide, 36cm deep and 43cm high
In original condition, some old repairs.
