A pair of good quality George III mahogany side chairs of Hepplewhite design, the shield shaped backs carved with sheaves of wheat, the stuff-over seats being slightly dished and of serpentine outline, raised on unusual spiral carved forelegs joined by an H-stretcher.
Whilst the shield back is a typical Sheraton design, the spiral forelegs are extremely unusual. In excellent condiiton with very clean upholstery.
