Michael and Carina gave up their jobs in magazine publishing when their children left home to turn their hobby of scouring auctions and antiques fairs in search of the quirky and interesting into a full-time occupation. They opened their shop in East Sheen, in south-west London, three years ago and in that time have built up a loyal clientele of people looking for something beautiful and different for their home.
Michael has a key eye for art - coming from a long line of Dutch artists - and indeed art is one of their biggest sellers. Carina enjoys mixing periods and bringing colour and texture to a room. They are both champions of rich natural wood finishes and try to keep pre-loved furniture and objects in as authentic a state as possible believing that they can look stunning in even the most modern of homes.
