A pair of antique Arts & Crafts period, three-legged oak turner's chairs in an early English manner. These beautiful hand-crafted chairs made in solid oak have a linear and sculptural feel, with stunning carving to the back rest. The bobbin turned angled arms and structure are very pretty. Three-legged chairs originate from Medieval times and were suitable for use on an uneven floor as they would not wobble. The chairs have been lightly waxed and in good condition with a good patina, showing some nice warmer colours from use.
