https://www.thehoarde.com/dealers/ljw-antiquesMichelin's advertising is easily amongst the most iconic of the mid-20th century. The Bibendum character (aka Michelin Man) is internationally recognised as is the company's blue and yellow colour scheme. This lithographically printed, tin sign was produced in the 1970s/'80s.
The sign has survived the decades in remarkably good order; the returned edge has added to it's rigidity and helped to save it from folds etc keeping it nice and straight, it hangs / displays well. There are some surface scratches / scuffs, but generally it's bright and clean ... The iconic look without the price tag of an earlier, enamel example.
The sign measures 75.5cm square with a 1.5cm return.
