Here we have a lovely bright example of a Holdfast Boots enamel sign, complete with the company's iconic reef knot logo. This sign probably dates to around the 1930s. The sign has aged well, retaining lovely vibrant colours and a good surface gloss. Unfortunately there are some patches of enamel loss scattered across the sign, especially around the mouting holes - presumably from some fairly careless removal from it's original point of display however these don't impact the legibility of the sign. Unusually to the back of the sign is a small enamelled stamp stating "This Plate is the Property of Holdfast Boots Ld." - a marker I've not seen before. The sign measures 2ft (61cm) wide x 1 1/2ft (46cm) high. UK Mainland P+P would cost £10.
