Item Description
Robert and Mary White produced the first R. White's lemonade in Camberwell, south London, in 1845 - from here they've developed into an instantly recognisable household brand.
This enamel sign was originally one side of the company's iconic triangular bins. It dates to the 1950s/ early '60s and is the earliest design to use the dark blue, yellow and green colour scheme - a design that we recognise from today's logo. This piece would make for an excellent bit of kitchen, cafe or bar decoration.
The sign is in generally good, bright condition with a few, fairly minor surface scratches and a small amount of nibbling along the outer edges. Generally the colours are vibrant and the sign retains a lovely surface gloss (see the second photo where I've tried my best to show this).
The sign is 64cm high, 52cm wide and has a 2.5cm return on the top and bottom edges - it can be hung with ease using it's original mounting holes.
