Michelin's advertising is easily amongst the most iconic of the mid-20th century. The Bibendum character (aka Michelin Man) is internationally recognised as is the company's blue and yellow colour scheme. This lithographically printed, tin sign is a rare survivor (as it's more vulnerable than the slightly earlier enamel examples) and utilises the brand's iconic shield shape.

The sign probably dates to the early 1970s (perhaps 1971 if I'm reading the date marker at the bottom correctly) and has survived the decades in pretty fantastic order. With the exception of some light surface scratching and an additional mounting hole on the lower left edge that has caused a small indentation and some paint loss around it, the sign is about as clean as you could hope to find one with a lovely glossy surface and bright colours.

The sign measures 76cm high x 65cm wide and has a 2cm return.
