This is an antique cigar humidor. A Continental, ebonised mahogany and gilt metal Petit Corona case, dating to the mid Victorian period, circa 1860.



  • Beguiling humidor, with a profusion of intricate brightwork

  • Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order

  • Superb ebonised stocks presenting a deep, lustrous finish

  • Quality gilt metal presents ebullient golden tones throughout



  • Classical motif adorns the exterior, with a surmount Cherub gracing the cutter compartment

  • Accessed by a small sliding clasp, the cutter compartment measuring an inch deep

  • Ornate pierced fretwork escutcheon to the fascia with inset lock — key present

  • Corners further accentuated with profuse scroll and beaded mounts



  • Opening the lid released the pair of front doors to reveal the humidor trays

  • Interior hosts six trays - crafted to carry 12 Petit Corona sized cigars each, for a total of 72

  • Each recess hosts a Petit Corona with the length of 13cm and width across at 17mm

  • The whole raised upon a quartet of canted gilt feet, with scrolled toes
